10 New Directions For WWE After Clash In Italy 2026

Hmmm.

Heading into Clash, this fan suggested that WWE had booked themselves into a corner with the stipulations for Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu. They called for the latter to acknowledge the former as his 'Tribal Chief' if he didn't come away from 'Tribal Combat' with Roman's World Heavyweight Title. Jacob didn't, so he'll be kissing some tribal tootsies on Raw.

It's interesting that management took someone who seems to be on the cusp of blowing up as a standalone babyface headliner, and decided to put him next to The Usos as backup to Reigns. That feels like a step backwards for Fatu. Y’know, unless they sidestep it by having Jacob refuse to acknowledge Roman, but a third match between these guys would be a stretch at this point.

Where would they even go with it after 'Tribal Combat'? That was a natural end point for this series of bouts between Roman and Jacob. Further, why would Reigns even agree to another match when he has nothing to prove and got exactly what he wanted in Italy? There may be no creative out for the 'Samoan Werewolf' on this occasion.

Pucker up, Fatu! He's likely about to become an unwilling member of the revamped Bloodline. Well, "revamped" is pushing it. This is almost identical to The Bloodline that Roman led beforehand. Jacob is just in the Sami Zayn spot (sans comedy) in 2026. That's another point worth considering.

This is a rinse and repeat narrative from Trips and gang. They're about to run it back...
