10 New Directions For WWE After Clash Of Champions 2016
9. Multi-Man Tag Team Match
Despite all that was said in the previous slide, the New Day’s victory at Clash of Champions did arrive in somewhat contentious circumstances. Xavier Woods—not officially a part of the match—made his presence felt by battering Karl Anderson with his trusty trombone, enabling Kofi and Big E to pick up the pieces and retain the tag team titles.
So even though they’ve already had their fair share of chances to capture the gold, those kind of shenanigans mean that Gallows and Anderson could certainly make a case for being worthy of one final title opportunity.
As mentioned previously though, this feud has just about run its course and it’s going to be very difficult to garner interest in another two-on-two contest—particularly when all available combinations of the New Day have already been exhausted.
In that case though, why not introduce another team into the fray and make the champions' next defence a Triple Threat tag team match?
Again, Enzo & Cass would likely be the best-placed candidates, though the Shining Stars could also be in with a shout. Unless of course, we could be seeing a new tandem emerge in the Raw tag division…
