Yes, the image of Shane McMahon wearing a UFC Title belt that accompanied this piece is over-the-top. No-one is seriously suggesting that Shane-O could win very-real fights in the Octagon to hold UFC gold just because his dad brokered a deal with Endeavor to fall under the same umbrella as the MMA giant.
However...
...what's stopping Shane from dipping a toe into the mixed martial arts world? Y'know, just to turn some heads, earn WWE some easy press from the mainstream media they've coveted for generations, and scratch a macho itch for the 'Boy Wonder'. Shane clearly fancies himself as a bit of a knockout king anyway.
No WWE performance ends without at least some of those rabbit punches. He even managed to get a few in before tearing up his quad at WrestleMania 39! Would Shane McMahon fighting MMA style in 2023 be absurd? Without question, but it's not impossible.
