Age: 54 years, 21 days

Despite spending years abusing his opposition for promoting wrestlers of a senior disposition, Vince McMahon saw no problem awarding himself his own company's top strap just weeks after he'd turned 54.

Thankfully, the story just about clung together. Triple H had goaded McMahon to the ring despite a ban imposed upon him after a Steve Austin/Undertaker match at July's Fully Loaded pay-per-view rendered him persona non grata in his own company.

Furthermore, the unsanctioned match was as one-sided a beatdown as any McMahon ever took on television before Stone Cold Steve Austin surprised Triple H with a Stone Cold Stunner. Carried out by his wife and son, Vince proudly held the belt aloft as SmackDown went off the air to the sight of a millionaire business owner living his real dream and playing wrestler.

He thankfully had the common sense to vacate the title at the first public opportunity. Strolling to the ring on the next edition of Monday Night Raw for one final pose with the title around his waist, Vince placed it back up for grabs at the following Sunday's Unforgiven pay-per-view.
