10 Outrageous Storylines WWE Nearly Booked

7. Goldust Nearly Gets Breast Implants

The 90's Goldust character was all about shocking the audience with sexually suggestive mannerisms. As part of this eccentric act, Dustin Runnels actually considered getting breast implants. Runnels pitched this to Vince McMahon, who actually seriously considered it for a while. The angle would have created a media blitz, with the WWF planning to film the surgery for TV. Thankfully, McMahon eventually decided against the move. Former head of creative Vince Russo discussed the near-angle in his autobiography. Russo reasons that Goldust contemplated the surgery because he believed his job was in danger. The idea was that it would make him relevant again.€œTell Vince if he pays me $1 million dollars, I will get implants€ the Bizarre One told Russo. Even the creative boldness of Russo was sceptical of Goldust's idea, concluding €œI'm sure if he really thought about it, a man walking around with women's implants, he would have come to his senses...I think.€
