4. Roman Reigns Is Eliminated Early
As soon as it was announced that Roman Reigns would be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Royal Rumble match, it was a foregone conclusion in the minds of many that Reigns would be successfully retaining his title. Even once it became clear this past week that he would entering at No. 1, thus hurting his chances of coming out on top, Reigns remained the heavy favorite to win the 2016 Royal Rumble. Simply put, it's the most predictable path they could take with this year's installment, especially after he won the Rumble last year to the dismay of the fans. WWE would be foolish to make the same mistake two years in a row... wait, they already did with Batista and Reigns in back-to-back years? Oh, well then, I guess nothing is stopping them from doing it again this year. In all seriousness, if WWE was true to their word and wanted to make this the most unpredictable Royal Rumble of all-time, eliminating Reigns early on would shock the world. There's nothing wrong with having him last until the final four, but it would be something no one would see coming, giving fans the feeling that anything really can happen. It'd be similar to how Daniel Bryan, a favorite to win the Rumble last year, was taken out almost immediately, but at least the fans wouldn't turn on the match after Reigns' abrupt elimination.
