After dominating the European independent scene and NXT: UK, Gunther has finally moved stateside and arrived on WWE's main stage. His brief time on SmackDown has left many potential first time ever dream matches with WWE's biggest stars. However, he does have a very brief history with one member of the main roster, that being The Visionary Seth "Freakin" Rollins.

Leading into Survivor Series 2019, WWE had announced that not only would Raw be going face to face with SmackDown at the event, but for the first time ever, NXT would be a part of the mix. A few weeks before the show Raw would emanate from Manchester, with The Architect calling out, “The United Kingdom’s best,” - a challenge that was answered by The Ring General.

In typical WWE fashion, the first time ever matchup was underwhelming, at just four minutes before a disqualification by Imperium ended things.

Since then, WALTER has gone on to hold the NXT United Kingdom Title for a record 870 days, before losing two of his Imperium stablemates as well as his name. As he continues to build his credibility and remain as dominant as ever, a rematch with Rollins remains on the horizon. With it not being difficult to improve on their first outing, fans should be looking forward to the day they meet once again.
