10 Potential WWE WrestleMania 37 Opponents For John Cena

Goldberg, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins - Who's the perfect WrestleMania opponent for John Cena?

John Cena's chances of making WrestleMania 37 are slim.

Recent comments from the man himself suggest he probably won't be in attendance for WWE's biggest show of the year this April. Long story short, Cena is currently shooting HBO Max’s Peacemaker series in Vancouver, and he'd have to quarantine for two weeks if he crossed the border from Canada into the United States.

That's a bit of a bummer and would interfere with other commitments, but Triple H has previously said that JC would be at 'Mania if he was able. Despite it looking unlikely, the company will still be drumming up all sorts of scenarios to make it possible. Maybe they'll take a crew to Vancouver ahead of time and film some sort of cinematic match? Or, perhaps they'll just set up a ring in a warehouse somewhere and capture any bout straight up, warts and all.

Nothing would be too ridiculous after last year's 'Firefly Fun House' riot with Bray Wyatt, put it that way.

So, if Cena is able to make it to Tampa (or WWE go to him), who would his opponent be? Here are some of the tastiest choices WWE could pick...

10. Bray Wyatt (Again)

Try not to balk at this.

Cena and Bray Wyatt have excellent chemistry together - they proved that during the 'Firefly Fun House' madness at 'Mania 36, and they'd likely showcase it again in a sequel this year. Of course, another cinematic match would be a quick fix for WWE.

Wyatt is off telly just now anyway, so any two week quarantine that comes into effect by crossing the border wouldn't destroy his current storylines; WWE's interest in this obviously also depends on their eagerness to blow off Bray's still-ongoing issues with Randy Orton.

If they've gone sour on that, then they could whisk Bray up to Canada and put on more barmy goodness for everyone to enjoy at 'Mania 37. It's maybe not the best solution open to them, but it'd work out nicely if John couldn't make it to Tampa this April.
