10 Precise Moments Wrestlers Should Have Retired

1. Triple H - WWE WrestleMania XXX

In one sense, Triple H did virtually nothing of worth after his superbly crafted and very selfless loss to Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX. He worked and lost an awesome Daniel Bryan match, not a methodical Triple H match, and the result was a euphoric, snarled F*ck-you to the "B+ player" sh*te he actually believed, else why was Bryan originally meant to work Sheamus in New Orleans?

He did less than nothing for Sting in an arrogance-fuelled disappointment. The Roman Reigns match was boring and didn't arrest any narratives. The Seth Rollins match was objectively good, but nobody cared a great deal about it, really. Rollins was no less or more over in its wake, which was a huge indictment of a programme WWE invested so much in. His win over Batista at WrestleMania 35 played out to crickets. All Triple H did at WrestleMania for years was make it longer and more exhausting than it needed to be.

But that Ronda Rousey match was so damn great.

Triple H retires at XXX - imagine if he'd put his career on the line, thus making what was an excellent formality the biggest WWE match ever - and comes out of retirement to help his missus out.

Nobody ever really retires anyway.
