10 Predictions For John Cena’s WrestleMania 34 Opponent

1. Daniel Bryan

Yes...?

Much as Kurt Angle's health and wellbeing takes priority with WWE top brass over the need to see him attempt another 5-star classic, Daniel Bryan's historic concussion concerns seem certain to prevent the WrestleMania 30 headliner from ever competing at the 'Show Of Shows' again.

But is John Cena the key that could unlock Bryan's talents one last time?

Now family by marriage (when Cena and Bryan's sister-in-law Nikki eventually tie the knot), the pair will have an unmatched level of trust with one another, only enhanced by the world class encounter they had at SummerSlam 2013.

It was arguably Cena's best ever WWE match, and served to kick off the 'Yes Man's long and challenging road to the WrestleMania that ultimately marked the peak of his career. It was a contest that proved what the pair could do on a bigger stage, and in Bryan's case, confirmed definitively that he belonged at the top of the card.

Content to let his contract expire in 2018 in order to return to the independent scene just to wrestle again, WWE could perhaps find a compromise in the form of an enormous payday for both. And it's hard to imagine that the contest itself wouldn't be an absolute thriller.
