10 Problems WWE MUST Solve In The 2019 Draft

8. Send The New Day Away

The New Day are an evergreen act whose eternal overness means it'll be a long, long time before they split up. They shift merchandise, pop crowds, and generally perform above or around the modern working standard, meaning that even if you think their act has grown stale (a valid take), business sense means they should stick together.

This entry doesn't advocate splitting the trio in the 2019 Draft, but shifting them over to Raw as a group.

There's a strong chance that Kofi Kingston, at this point, is a transitional WWE Champion. Yes, he has held the belt for five months, but Vince McMahon is preparing to move SmackDown to Fox and potentially make it his new flagship show. Would he prefer the plucky, undersized underdog leading the brand, or a bigger, burlier wrestler closer to his ideal "top star"? It's an easy answer that doesn't fall in Kofi's favour.

Xavier Woods and Big E, meanwhile, are no longer SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Assuming Kofi loses his belt to whoever he faces at Hell in a Cell, The New Day are free to move to make an overdue switch to Raw, having exhausted most SmackDown options since joining the show in 2017.
