7. How Realistic Are The UFC Rumours?

On Cabana's podcast, Punk touched on how much he's enjoying his time for Jiu Jitsu. However, the interview never really covered how realistic it could be for Punk to head to the UFC. The former wrestler did say that his WWE termination included a no-compete clause for UFC, but he didn't say if he'd be interested in pursuing MMA once that clause expires. The rumour for a long time has been that UFC would be open to giving Punk a chance. Dana White is a friend of Punk and is aware of the name value he would bring. It isn't like he's going to walk straight into a big match, but a berth on The Ulitmate Fighter tv show could deliver much needed ratings and hopefully accommodate Punk's rookie level. Hopefully we can hear from Punk on just how likely a UFC run could be. It all really depends on what his MMA skill level actually is.
