6. Creative Freedom In TNA

So do you have more creative freedom in TNA then?

Well they’re allowing you to feel your character and develop your character your own way, so, if you see something your character wouldn’t say verbatim that’s on a sheet of paper, you can change it so it makes sense coming from you, because you’re the only person who can play your character. 

We’re not really professionally trained actors, so to speak, just extensions of ourselves and our own personalities, so it’s important to take that initiative, and that you have confidence in yourself to do it. But also, if you take that initiative and you fail with it, you have to take the repercussions. I guess it’s a tightrope, and in the WWE, you’d get yelled at a lot more if you tried to explore that. 

The top guys were going off on their own kind of thing to build their characters up themselves, but in TNA, there’s a lot more opportunity to do that if you want.
