10 Quick WWE Fixes To Save Randy Orton

8. Heel Turn

It's the easy answer to everything in wrestling - and not always the right one, if the recent resurrection of both Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose is any indication - but Randy Orton, that awesome Christian rivalry aside, does his best work in the heel role because he's so naturally loathsome.

Just look at his Twitter feed. He's essentially already a heel - that is when he's not giving absolutely zero f*cks and retweeting accounts created for the express purpose of burying his company's creative process. He whinges on a constant basis about moves that more popular wrestlers get over by doing. He isn't this grand WWE institution, too respected to jeer. He's aloof, arrogant, and increasingly detached from the wrestling fandom - why not revel in that? Possibly because WWE is itself out of touch; if it wasn't, Orton would not have dominated the WWE Championship picture for as long as he did.

Orton possesses vast heel potential because he's a self-appointed vanguard against a ring style WWE fans increasingly want more of. Integrate that into his character. Embrace the wider sentiment; that way, Orton will resonate more with the audience.

Even Orton knows this.
