10 Rare Times The Undertaker Broke Character In WWE
3. End Of An Era
Whenever The Undertaker met Shawn Michaels or Triple H in the twilight years of their careers, there was already an air of humanity about him. This wasn't the same bloodthirsty demon that wanted to take DX's souls back in 1997, it was a revered veteran who respected his colleagues enough to give them his absolute best on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
That respect humanised all three of these larger-than-life icons throughout the four-year saga but no moment in that program was more undeniably human than the shot of the three men standing atop of the aisle and embracing at WrestleMania 28.
The match that had taken place moments beforehand was billed as the 'End of an Era' and it saw two titans of the Attitude Era compete inside its most barbaric creation as a third officiated, so it was only fitting that it officially ended with those three sharing that special moment.
When all was said and done, there was no animosity, no hell, no demons... just pure and unadulterated respect.
