10 Real Life Wrestling Feuds Where Justice Was Delivered In The Ring
2. Matt Hardy vs. Edge
There are few real-life feuds like the one between Matt Hardy and Edge. Once great friends, the relationship was torn apart once it became clear that Matt's girlfriend, Lita had been seeing Edge secretly behind his back out on the road. Understandably horrified, Hardy shot himself in the foot somewhat by making the story public, which left WWE feeling like they had no choice but to cut ties with him. Immediately, there was backlash towards the company, with fans arguing that the victim of the scenario, Hardy, was the only one being punished. Trying to curry favour with people angry at the promotion, WWE rehired Matt, and he was instantly placed in a feud with Edge, much to the astonishment of pretty much everybody. Surely there was no way both men could work together? Amazingly, they did, and even though Hardy wouldn't gain his revenge at Summerslam, he would be justified by the end result of a Steel Cage at the Unforgiven PPV in September, 2005, beating Edge. Stunningly, the trio have been able to put the sorry saga behind them, and Matt, Edge and Lita are all friendly to this day.
