10 Realistic Storylines That Would Be Perfect For Today's WWE

8. Wade Barrett Shooting On WWE Over His Mistreatment

Barrett€™s constant €˜start-stop€™ booking has been incredibly frustrating. As soon as the man€™s given the slightest bit of momentum, he loses it all and ends up in one-minute garbage matches with R-Truth. So what better way for the man to voice his displeasure with his presentation than by orchestrating another €˜worked shoot€™ promo, in which he crucifies the powers-that-be for ruining his career? In it, Barrett would condemn them for not caring about the younger guys in the company, and how everyone has to walk on eggshells in order to please corporate stakeholders. Finally, he€™d insult Vince McMahon for being unable to make any correct decisions vis-à-vis his career. In response, WWE would try and punish him, or try to spin the situation by making Barrett the bad guy instead of them. This storyline would give Barrett a new opportunity as the babyface that wants an opportunity to show what he's worth by fighting the Authority's minions. If presented properly, this storyline would resonate with the audience very well. Viewers can relate easily to someone who has obvious talent, but that person has said talent wasted to fit an unexplained agenda. It would make him an underdog of sorts in the eyes of the fans, considering he has so much to offer yet is so misused.
