Getting a title shot doesn't necessarily mean getting a PPV main event (see Neville's Raw title shot), nor does being in a PPV main event necessarily mean the title is on the line. As such, it would be a very different type of achievement, if Styles could work his way up to actually main eventing a PPV. Again, technically he did main event in the Rumble, but on that basis so did Curtis Axel and Tyler Breeze. A real PPV main event would be Styles closing the show as the main focus. Main eventing a special would be both prestigious and lucrative. It would be a true marker of Styles having made it in WWE, and the main event payday would also be a great bonus for him. Can he make it that far? Absolutely. But can he actually become Champion? That's far more doubtful, hence "AJ Styles WWE Champion" not being included on this list of realistic achievements.
