6. Ill-Fitting Manager
Alberto Del Rio and Zeb Colter were an intriguing pairing, at least initially. Given Colter's history of playing a parody of the extreme political Right in America, with a ridiculous anti-immigration stance, teaming him with a Mexican performer was a bizarre choice, but one that created potential for new storylines and angles. WWE has, however, failed to capitalise on this intrigue and has struggled with the fact that there is absolutely no chemistry between Colter and his new client. The two characters are wholly incompatible with each other and this makes their tag team, pass-the-mic promo segments incredibly awkward and leaves them feeling artificial, despite the fact that both men have proven themselves to be solid talkers in the past. Del Rio and Colter are both suffering as characters as a result of this storyline and a split as soon as possible will be best in order to salvage both of them. The best option would be for Colter to violently turn on his foreign friend, cementing his own anti-immigrant persona whilst positioning Del Rio as the babyface he really needs to be.
