Pinned cleanly at two pay-per-view shows in a row? Batista can't be happy with that. His glorified jobber status is the opposite of what he expected when he put pen to paper on his WWE deal. Nobody likes to be a loser, even if it is all scripted, stars don't like to be perceived as weak. Two pinfall losses in a row can't have been easy for Batista to accept. The WrestleMania 30 loss in particular can't have made much sense to The Animal. Think about it, WWE originally intended to have Batista go up against Bryan for the title at Payback, so why not protect Batista with that match in mind? Instead they had Bryan pin the big man in April, effectively showing that he's beatable. If Orton had taken the pin instead it would have left Batista as the untested threat against Bryan. Instead Orton was gave the free pass where he lost his title without being pinned or submitted at WrestleMania. Again at Extreme Rules we witnessed Batista pinned. This time around it looks like a situation where WWE have responded to Batista's unwillingness to work Payback, "Yes Dave, you can leave your WWE run early, but you're doing the job on your way out!"
