10 Reasons To Believe WWE Really Do See Daniel Bryan As A Major Star
6. HHH & Steph Turned Heel For Him
It's been a good while since Triple H was last heel, and even longer since Steph was. For that, you'd have to go back to around 2002. Yet, now, they're full blown, heat seeking heels. They are, perhaps, doing the best heel work of their career. Make no mistake, the whole reason they turned heel in the first place, was for Daniel Bryan. It was him, after all, that Triple H screwed to execute the turn. This was all designed to make Daniel Bryan a huge star. You could argue both points pretty convincingly as to whether or not Daniel Bryan was originally supposed to be in the main event of Wrestlemania, but you can't argue that The Authority storyline was designed to tell the classic story of the underdog fighting the machine and eventually coming out on top. This storyline is used to create a star (see; Austin, Stone Cold Steve), and, originally planned or not, the pay-off will be Wrestlemania. The pay-off may have been designed to be at a different time, but regardless, for WWE to turn one of their most popular babyfaces heel, to feud with Daniel Bryan, clearly shows that they always saw him as a potential major star.
