10 Reasons Brock Lesnar Must Have A Long WWE Title Reign

7. A Potential Match With The Rock

According to wrestling's most electrifying man, a match with Brock Lesnar was originally on the books for WrestleMania XXX before movie production and injury caused a change in plans. The Rock is one of the most recognizable personalities ever produced by the professional wrestling industry. That he has a known friendship with UFC kingpin Dana White and has appeared at several UFC fights means he has a connection with that audience that would help with promoting a potential match with the Beast Incarnate. That those two Superstars have not met one-on-one since SummerSlam 2002 means it would be perceived by most of today's audience as a fresh matchup. There is no way Rock would return for anything but a high-profile WrestleMania match at this point, though, meaning Lesnar would have to hold onto the WWE World Heavyweight Championship until the Showcase of the Immortals were that match to be fought for the most prestigious title in the land. And it may be best for both the company's hopes for a big buyrate and The Rock's reputation. After all. he returned, told the world he was never leaving, then proceeded to leave. Not to mention the fact that he left after a very mediocre match against John Cena at WrestleMania 29. What better way to endear himself to the audience than by returning and wrestling the championship from around Lesnar's waist?
