10 Reasons CM Punk Vows Never To Make WWE Return

9. He's In Too Much Physical Pain

One big factor in CM Punk's January walkout was reportedly physical burnout. Mick Foley gave some insight to the situation with this April blog post - "I have never been to a WWE event where Punk was not in considerable pain. Ice packs, heating pads, and visits to the trainer were as much a part of his daily routine as eating, sleeping, and wrestling." Punk's injuries are the culmination of a 14 year wrestling career, in which he predominantly wrestled an intense style. Big bumps and impact attacks aren't good for the overall upkeep of ones body. The slow chronic deterioration of Punk's joints and bones became too much. He has knee issues and back problems - the typical pro wrestler degenerations. Punk obviously feels these ailments are past the point of a comeback. He feels too beatup to ever consider a return, hence his ruling a comeback out. As Triple H's former catchphrase once said though, "pain is temporary, the game is forever."
