The shine had faded on World Championship Wrestling towards the end. Creative didn't know how to turn the ship around and systematically went about the task of running deeper into the mire by ruining every good idea they had built. nWo? Spoiled by overexposure. Ric Flair? Clearly not in shape to be on top of the card.
