10 Reasons Roman Reigns Is Outdrawing John Cena At WWE Shows

9. The Power Of A Collective Draw

Traditionally, WWE business was built upon one major drawing star. For example, a guy like Hulk Hogan in the eighties or Steve Austin in the nineties, they were pulling the entire ship. Crowds were turning up to see that one star. Nowadays, there's an argument that the "WWE brand" is the draw. So it doesn't really matter who is headlining the tour, it is more about the collective appeal of seeing WWE. In that theory, Cena and Reigns aren't outdrawing each other, and their numbers are just down to "WWE brand" appeal in the selected cities. That could explain how Reigns appeared to be able to outdraw Cena this past week, the "WWE brand" just so happened to be hotter in the shows he was booked on. But in fairness to Reigns, there's also a lot of other factors that should be considered, factors that maybe show he is starting to be the franchise star.
