4. It€™s 10 Years Too Late

The novelty regarding Sting is that he was the only WCW Champion to never appear on WWE television. When the WWF bought WCW in 2001, many of the big-name stars didn€™t immediately come to WWE because they had ironclad contracts with AOL/Time Warner, and they had the choice of sitting home for a year and get paid handsomely, or go to work for WWE for much less money. It was only after the AOL/Time Warner contracts expired that we saw the nWo, Ric Flair, Rey Mysterio and Goldberg appear on WWE television. For whatever reason, Sting never appeared among that bunch. He may have had some fundamental differences with the way Vince McMahon did business, but if there was ever any time for Sting to join the WWE, it was with the rest of the major WCW players in the early 2000s. After wasting a decade of his career away in TNA (and probably being paid handsomely for it), Sting is now 10 years older, which leads us to€
