10 Reasons The PG Era Isn't So Bad

9. The Gross-Out Moments Are Mostly Gone

Remember Mae Young giving birth to a hand? REMEMBER MAE YOUNG GIVING BIRTH TO A HAND! That's the most prominent criticism people lob against the Attitude Era, and with good reason: It was a septuagenarian giving birth to a human appendage. That's all the reason you would ever need to suggest this era wasn't always so blissfully amazing.

But there are plenty of other examples of Vince McMahon tossing every gross-out moment he and the writers could muster onto the big stage.

In fact, as was revealed in the wonderful documentary Beyond the Mat, Vince specifically hired a man because he could puke on command, and then called that character Puke, because he's a subtle little minx like that.

Then there's also the time Big Boss Man fed Al Snow his own dog, Tommy Dreamer ate all kinds of disgusting things like that weird kid at the lunch table doing all the wrong things to impress his classmates, and Rikishi's signature move involved shoving his thonged backside into the face of his opponents and then wiggling around.

Save for the occasional return from The Boogeyman, most of that disgusting stuff is gone from the WWE. As are other pointless bits of shock value...
