10. The Interest Is Already Waning
Nothing short of booking AJ Styles against the current main eventers would have allowed him to maintain the hype after his stunning Royal Rumble bow. The WWE creative team has booked Styles' introduction as well as they possibly without disturbing other programs, allowing Styles to establish himself as a WWE guy against a recognisable name in Chris Jericho. Styles will benefit greatly from the feud, but the hype surrounding him will never reach the point it did at the Royal Rumble because that's simply how the business works; it's like being the new toy, incredible at first but after a while it just becomes another object in the toy box. While he was a standout talent elsewhere, the reality is AJ Styles will quickly become just another guy on WWE's roster. It happens with all debutantes and returning stars that aren't already main event calibre; take a look at the comparison between the Dudley Boyz when they returned and now. Sad but true.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
