10 Reasons Why AJ Styles Won't Meet Fans' Expectations
6. No Room In The Main Event Picture
You could question whether Styles would even be signed to the WWE had a swag of the company's top names not been struck by injuries, which is a whole different discussion, but there is little room for Styles at the top of the card even with those guys missing. In fact, the main event picture is set in stone for the next 12 months; Roman Reigns, Triple H, Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar can well and truly hold up the roster with some intriguing stories until the return of Seth Rollins and John Cena, and by that point a number of the aforementioned stars will have to find something else to do with their time. Lesnar will likely go shoot some kind of animal and not give a toss about WWE, but the others will need to fit in somewhere. Completely taking the likes of John Cena, Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan out of the equation, the main event picture is not as weak as the negativity brigade claim it is given the majority of those suffering injuries were hardly able to maintain midcard status. At the very best, the injuries open a door for Styles to compete for either the United States of Intercontinental Championships post-WrestleMania. If that's the case, it's likely Styles' minor championship aspirations will come out in the wash when a number of those injured midcarders return to action.
Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
