Don't sleep on the fact that WWE has viewed Paul Heyman as a miracle worker over the years. The company has tried to elevate countless other wrestlers by tacking on Paul E as their manager, but most have failed; Cesaro, Ryback and Curtis Axel come to mind there.
CM Punk is the only one who stuck, but...Roman Reigns has topped him. He has more natural star power and an admirable ability to stand in the background whilst Heyman runs through his shtick. Punk, arguably, didn't really have that - he wanted to be front and centre, whereas Roman's confidence lets him coolly stand in the background sometimes.
He's the only man who could've replaced Brock Lesnar full time as the apple of Heyman's eye.
