10 Reasons WWE Were Right To Retire Daniel Bryan

8. The Big Money Was Off The Table

Although Daniel Bryan would have been worth money to WWE if he had returned, his prospect at making really big money was already off the table. It wasn't like he was going to ever come back as a main eventer. WWE couldn't risk trusting him in that spot again, not when for two years in a row he had been liable to big lay-offs straight after being pushed. Therefore they would have only ever brought him back in a safe and ultimately inconsequential mid-card role. As for Bryan, in those spots, he was only ever going to make normal pay offs. It wasn't worth his health, just like it wasn't worth it for WWE to risk a life just for the sake of filling mid-card matches.
