Why didn't we get to see Lana and Ziggler vs. Rusev and Summer Rae at SummerSlam last year? Everything had been built towards the Ravishing Russian making her in-ring bow. While most of her offence saw her tackle Summer like in the picture above, she showed one impressive move as she almost kicked Rae's head off during an episode of RAW. The signs looked good, surely Lana's background in dance would see her take on a really aesthetically pleasing role in a WWE. Instead, we saw Ziggler and RuRu go at it in a singles bout that ended with a double count out. Then Lana suffered a Colles fracture to her hand around a week following the event. A debut in the ring hasn't been mentioned since... Missed opportunity for WWE and Lana for sure. As things stand, I'm not sure the WWE Universe would be as enthusiastic for a Lana debut match as they were back then... Lana, as sad as this makes me feel, is well and truly on the back burner.
