10 Reasons WWE’s WrestleMania 31 Is Already Doomed

9. Hulk Hogan Still Wants To Wrestle John Cena

When Hulk Hogan returned to the WWE earlier in the year, it just felt right. Hulk Hogan never truly felt like Hulk Hogan outside of the context of WWE and as soon as he delivered that first €œWhatcha Gonna Do, Brother?!€ it felt like he'd never even left. He€™s stepped into the role of WWE ambassador incredibly well, welcoming Hideo Itami into the WWE and engaging in charity work with Susan G. Komen For The Cure. That doesn€™t seem to be enough for The Hulkster though, who seems set on having one more match. Since returning to WWE, Hogan has made no bones about his desire to not only get back in the ring, but get back in the ring to face his twenty-first century counterpart John Cena. Not only in interviews, has Hogan been pushing for the match, but apparently he€™s lobbying behind the scenes as well. If Vince McMahon acquiesces and books Hogan for one last match it would definitely draw attention to the event, but Hogan is long past the point where he should have stopped. Hulk Hogan€™s last singles match was against Sting over three years ago (although he did work two Trios matches in early 2012, on TNA UK house shows). Watching Hulk Hogan wrestle now, it€™s just incredibly sad, to see the once great icon look so human. John Cena is a talented performer, but he often rises or sinks to the level of his opponent, so a Hogan/Cena match would be the biggest WrestleMania screwup since Bret Hart v Vince McMahon.
