10 Reasons WWE’s WrestleMania 31 Is Already Doomed

6. Roman Reigns Just Isn't Ready

Anyone who has been watching wrestling for the past few years can tell that Roman Reigns is being positioned to be the new crown prince of WWE. He€™s got the charisma and the presence to be a top star in wrestling, and all signs seem to be pointing towards Roman Reigns being the man to knock off WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar... and it appears that match will take place at WrestleMania. The problem is that Roman Reigns is in no condition to headline a WrestleMania. Physically, he€™s currently recovering from emergency surgery due to an incarcerated hernia and the timeline for his return is vague. There€™s no guarantee he€™ll be back in time for the Royal Rumble, where he was likely to win that match earning him a WWE World Heavyweight Championship opportunity. He€™s not quite ready in terms of wrestling ability either. While he was in The Shield, he was able to be that team€™s statement maker. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins would do most of the work, and then Roman Reigns would be the man to finish the job. Now he€™s in a singles role, his weaknesses are much more apparent. His moveset is still a bit too shallow, and the pacing of his matches usually feels stilted. In a few years, Roman Reigns will be ready to headline a WrestleMania, but it€™s just too soon right now.
