10 Receipts Wrestlers Still Owe

6. Bret Hart (Goldberg)

Bret Hart only wrestled a handful of matches after being forced into retirement following WCW's Starrcade 1999 pay-per-view, and only one for a WWE where made himself an icon. That, infamously, was an awful brawl with Vince McMahon (designed to give closure on the 'Montreal Screwjob' incident) at WrestleMania XXVI. It was crap, and it should never have been booked.

The 'Hitman' likely wishes his bout with Goldberg back in '99 hadn't been either.

Hart wrote in his book that he asked Bill to take care of him in the ring beforehand. Instead, Goldberg accidentally slammed a big foot into the side of Bret's head towards the end of the match, and that left the icon concussed. It'd also bring the curtain down on his classic wrestling career.

Bret has spoken negatively about Goldberg in interviews over the past 22 years, but he's not exactly gonna' act on any ill-feelings he has towards his old peer. Bill can still handle himself, whereas Hart isn't in any position to get physical ever again.
