Mic drop moment for 'The Game'.

Fans were steaming mad when Cody Rhodes failed to “finish the story” vs. Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year, but WWE’s decision-making has been vindicated by The Bloodline’s stellar performances since. After all, why cut off something so great when it quite clearly had lots of steam left?

There's something else at play too; Cody winning the Undisputed WWE belt would’ve been cool, but wrestling fans are notoriously fickle about such things. There are zero guarantees Rhodes could've maintained his babyface aura post-'Mania. Hell, he might even have heard boos a few months into his championship run.

WWE simply couldn’t justify taking the belt off Roman and de-emphasising The Bloodline anyway. Everything that’s happened on TV since April proves why. This is the top group act in the biz, and it shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Triple H was f'n right during that post-PLE presser.
