Although he carries himself fairly well on the mic, Bobby Lashley’s promo work has never been exactly Shakespeare. However, staying silent can also help make a boulder of a man look even more menacing. With this in mind, Lio Rush initially seemed like a great sidekick for ‘The All Mighty’ on his quest to clutch the WWE brass ring.

Alas, it wasn’t too long before Lashley’s cruiserweight cohort became a distraction and detriment to his quest for a more frequent spot in the main event picture.

On-screen, Rush’s mic work landed both him and his larger-than-life partner in serious trouble. Since the most protected man in all of WWE risked his powerhouse status by eating too many losses, his smaller half ended up becoming a fall guy and side route to give Lashley the ’L’ without actually making him lose.

Rush and Lashley were broken apart, leaving WWE to hit the restart on ‘The All Mighty’ once again, something the ageing veteran certainly didn't need during his final endeavour to become WWE champion before retirement from the squared circle. As for Rush, he managed to pick up the Cruiserweight title but eventually lost it and his job too.
