A short while ago, the above tag team battle between D-Generation X and Rated-RKO from WWE New Year's Revolution was profiled for a piece that focused on matches that collapsed in front of everybody. All with good reason too - Triple H's second quad tear looked as painful as his first, and the bout's descent into violence was something of a last gasp from the tenured competitors.

It went beyond the chaos of the conclusion too.

When 'The Game' went down hurt, it threw rock solid WrestleMania plans into disarray. Having lost to John Cena at 2006's 'Show Of Shows', Hunter was set to return to the same battlefield one year on and potentially defeat 'The Champ'.

Perennial non-contender Shawn Michaels was thrown into the breach instead, and as a result now has a tag team title run alongside 'Big Match John' as well as their choice headline encounter as experiences to look back on that oddly should have never been.
