This is wild. This is Road Wild.

During the lead up to that pay-per-view in August 1998, Eric Bischoff witnessed one of the scariest backstage altercations of his career. Hulk Hogan was usually calm and composed when doing business, but he was furious when conversing with fellow nWo cohorts Kevin Nash and Scott Hall behind the curtain at Nitro.

Looking down, Bischoff spotted that Hulk had a knife in his bum bag/fanny pack. He couldn't believe what he was seeing - Eric said on '83 Weeks' that he's still not sure to this day if his friend always carried one with him or brought it specifically for that chat. He's never asked in the years since.

Bischoff was terrified that Hogan would reach into his bag, pull the blade out and start waving it around. He described the aggressiveness as "real" that day, and doesn't recall ever seeing Hulk get that angry about anything else.

Hogan kept the knife where it was, thankfully.
