10 Shortest Brock Lesnar Matches Since His WWE Return
2. Vs. Seth Rollins – :17
Similar to SummerSlam 2018, WrestleMania 35 would have been the perfect time for Brock Lesnar to bow out for a bit and take a much-needed break from WWE programming. Although he isn't around often anyway, he had been a staple in the Universal Championship picture for two years and felt overexposed as a result.
Despite that, Lesnar returned just over a month later to become Mr. Money in the Bank and used the briefcase to taunt newly crowned champion Seth Rollins any chance he had. He teased showing up at Super ShowDown and Stomping Grounds, but it wasn't until Extreme Rules in July that he finally cashed in the contract.
The Beast took full advantage of the exhausted Rollins, who had just successfully defended his title against Baron Corbin in a hard-fought main event. The match clearly took a toll on him, as it was a record-setting 17 seconds after the bout began that Lesnar's hand was raised in victory as the new champion.
While a smart strategy by Lesnar, it made for one of the least exciting endings to a WWE pay-per-view this year, if only because the belt was back at square one.
