10 Shortest WWE Intercontinental Title Reigns Of All Time
6. The Miz - 1 Day, 2 1/2 Hours
As good as The Miz is right now, the five years between WrestleManias 27 and 32 weren't particularly kind to him. During that time, he went through a steady drop down the card, an awful babyface run, and four meaningless reigns as Intercontinental Champion.
His second reign began at WrestleMania 29 - sort of. Miz took on Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett for the belt, but the match wasn't deemed important enough to make the main show. Instead, they were the sole contest in a one-hour pre-show, with Miz capturing the title in front of a tepid, half-filled MetLife Stadium.
Any question as to whether WWE was actually getting behind Miz as a face was answered the following evening on Raw. Barrett got his rematch, and though the two men had an exciting back-and-forth encounter, fans at the Izod Center (who, it should be noted, were firmly behind Barrett) witnessed another title change. Barrett's reign continued, with Miz's serving as a mere interruption.
