4. Merchandise Sales

It's something Punk was all so keen to let us know. His merchandise outsold that of the company's leading man John Cena. This issue is heavily linked to him not wanting to turn heel in 2012. Generally, merchandise belonging to the baby faces will sell a lorry load more than the merch of the heels. It's just human nature. You want to support the good guy and hate on the villian. It would be interesting to see if Bray Wyatt agrees with that sentiment. If Punk was truly outselling Cena the pay day would have been nothing short of amazing for both Punk and WWE. So amazing in fact, WWE approached Punk and asked if they could continue to sell his merchandise. Of course Punk accepted this particular term of the settlement. He loves money, remember?
