The release of the WWE Network was always going to raise a few issues for both fans and talent alike. For the talent the obvious issue was going to be the pay they would receive after every PPV. Instead of selling each PPV for a nominal fee far higher than the $9.99 per month the network costs, WWE includes every pay-per-view in the price which means they will be losing quite a bit of money. And where money is an issue, Punk isn't far behind. When the WWE Network's plans were revealed last year, Punks financial concerns went into overdrive. He asked Vince McMahon how it would work with pay-per-view pay offs and the boss allegedly admitted he didnt know. That might even still be the case even now as the Wrestling Observers Dave Meltzer admitting he didn't know on Observer Radio: To this day I still dont know how that works.". Punk brought up a very obvious query on the podcast saying: Shouldnt you figure that out before I work on that PPV, so you can pay me accordingly? And nobody is asking questions because youll get punished. You get left off the PPV. You don't hear anyone else moaning about money in the company at the moment. Punk gave us one side of the story by claiming you'd get punished. Maybe, everyone else on the roster just gets on with their work through a love of the business and Punk's greed got in the way of that too much.
