10 Sleeping Giants WWE Refuse To Push

1. Ricochet

We dared to dream, didn't we?

That very same star who'd been tearing up the independent scene against the likes of Will Ospreay and Matt Sydal had finally made it to WWE and he didn't waste time letting the people in charge know what he was all about.

Flipping around like a lunatic and bumping like a crash test dummy, the former Prince Puma made an immediate impact in NXT and it wasn't long before he was promoted to the supposed 'big leagues'.

That's where the problems started.

If WWE had pushed Ricochet as a highly acrobatic, fan-friendly face who made you believe in the impossible every time he backflipped his way into the ring, he likely would have become one of the most marketable faces on the roster overnight.

But, Vince McMahon didn't see that in Rick's future. Instead, he slapped a nice 'Real-Life Superhero' catchphrase on the poor lad's chest and shuffled him straight into the mid-card.

The one-of-a-kind talent became generic within a month and what could have been an outstanding David Vs Goliath coming out party for the former North American Champion at this year's Super Showdown, became another quick meal for then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

He's a star, Vince. Just let him spread his wings!
