10 Stacked WWE Cards Which Failed To Deliver

On paper, this night had all the ingredients needed to potentially be one of the greatest Royal Rumble events in the company's history.

You had Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan battling it out in the conclusion of their excellent programme together.

Brock Lesnar was in town taking on The Big Show.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship... again!

And big bad Batista was returning in a Royal Rumble match which also boasted CM Punk and The Shield.

However, by the end of the night we were all left tearing our hair out for a number of different reasons.

Bryan/Wyatt was admittedly brilliant, but Cena/Orton had already been done... a lot... and the WWE Universe had zero interest in the contest, crapping all over both stars and chanting for a number of other talents throughout the match.

One of those aforementioned talents was D-Bry, who was quite clearly the fan favourite to win the titular main event match.

Yet, come number 30 there was still no sign of Bryan and not even the lovable Rey Mysterio popping up as the last entrant could persuade the crowd to get on board with the closing stages of the bout.

Batista would win the Rumble in the end and awkwardly roared at a deeply unsatisfied audience, cementing himself as the lasting image of an all-star event which could have been iconic, but was instead idiotic.
