10 Stacked WWE Cards Which Failed To Deliver
3. No Way Out (2002)
Right before one of the biggest PPV's in WWE history in 'Mania X8, that very same company brought you the stinking turd that was No Way Out 2002.
With The Rock set to square off against The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Triple H going toe-to-toe (for the second time on this list) and Chris Jericho battling 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin for the Undisputed WWF title, this bad boy had 5 stars written all over it... surely...
What could have been an epic 'Mania appetiser sadly turned into a deeply forgettable pit stop as Rock/'Taker, Angle/Trips and Jericho/Austin all failed to deliver for a variety of reasons.
Rock/'Taker was an overbooked mess featuring way too much Ric Flair and Vince McMahon.
Angle and Trips' number one contendership bout was equipped with another convoluted ending which involved multiple referee knockdowns - Stephanie McMahon being downed twice - before Angle eventually smashed 'The Game' with a steel chair and an Angle Slam for the win.
Then the Jericho/Austin main event saw the NWO interfere and cost Austin the match before branding the 'Texas Rattlesnake' with the team's trademark letters to close out the show.
A whole host of larger than life stars were burdened by a ton of crappy finishes, which in turn robbed us of a truly classic PPV.
No Way Out 2002 felt like a glorified episode of RAW. What a shame.
