10 Stars That Are Definitely Future WWE Hall Of Famers

9. Triple H

This one is a real no-brainer. Triple H is the most effective heel of the modern era, barring none. Almost nobody has been more hated in the WWE than Triple H for going on 15 years now. He is also a company man, through and through. If you looked at his blood under a microscope, his cells would be branded with little WWE logos €“ that much you can believe. Trips is very obviously the on-screen heir to Mr. McMahon, but he may also end up being the veteran promoter€™s actual heir as well, which would likely put him in a position to induct himself into the HoF, should he ever need to. Oh yeah, he€™s also among the most decorated wrestlers of all time and has enjoyed an astonishing run at the top of the sport. Triple H€™s heel work is so effective that the heat he engenders in the ring has actually transitioned to real life, where an insatiable commune of so called €˜smart marks€™ have dedicated their entire lives to slagging him off on the Internet. What those guys don€™t usually understand, of course, is that wrestling was (and is) a political game, first and foremost. All those great wrestlers of the past (including gilded names like Harley Race, Terry Funk and Bruno Sammartino) knew how to (ahem) €˜play the game€™. Trips just happens to be a master manipulator, in and out of the ring. HHH is extremely adept at manipulating both his fans and his detractors and is one of the smartest people working in the business right now. He is, without exagerration, WWE€™s greatest villain of all time €“ and for that alone; he deserves Hall of Fame recognition.

I am a professional author and lifelong comic books/pro wrestling fan. I also work as a journalist as well as writing comic books (I also draw), screenplays, stage plays, songs and prose fiction. I don't generally read or reply to comments here on What Culture (too many trolls!), but if you follow my Twitter (@heyquicksilver), I'll talk to you all day long! If you are interested in reading more of my stuff, you can find it on http://quicksilverstories.weebly.com/ (my personal site, which has other wrestling/comics/pop culture stuff on it). I also write for FLiCK http://www.flickonline.co.uk/flicktion, which is the best place to read my fiction work. Oh yeah - I'm about to become a Dad for the first time, so if my stuff seems more sentimental than usual - blame it on that! Finally, I sincerely appreciate every single read I get. So if you're reading this, thank you, you've made me feel like Shakespeare for a day! (see what I mean?) Latcho Drom, - CQ
