5. Nikki Cross Celebrates Rank Mediocrity

Part three of a three part tragedy.

In which "tragedy" is most pointed, because Nikki Cross hasn't gotten over one bit despite the assertion pushed forth by the presentation that she holds back-to-back victories over both Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley as they head into a Hell In A Cell pay-per-view match for the Raw Women's Championship.

Cross has been booked to act like Mick Foley winning his first World Title in the last few weeks, as if going two minutes with two wrestlers and winning a one-sided tag match is the sort of run worthy of its own book. She's not to blame of course - like everybody else on this list (mostly), she's Vince McMahon's talking props, doomed to toasting the middle of the road like it's the end of a rainbow.

Maybe she'll be added to the Hell In A Cell match, though even then it'd probably just be to extend Flair and Ripley's hostilities through to Money In The Bank. After all, this is the worst storyline on WWE television, and on WWE television a character projected a hundred identical shots of her own face on a video wall to "build momentum".
