10 Superstars Who Could Debut (Or Return) On WWE Raw After WrestleMania 41

3. Bill Goldberg

The wheels of confusion have been turning for Bill Goldberg in 2025. WWE had him lined up for an appearance on the 27 January Raw, but that was scrapped late in the day, and there's been next to no follow up on a segment the ex-WCW mauler worked with Gunther at Bad Blood last October either. The big Austrian might've lost his World Heavyweight Title to Jey Uso by the time the post-WrestleMania 41 Raw rolls around too.

"Might've". That's the important bit here.

Goldberg is still telling people that he plans to have his retirement match in WWE at some point this year, but details are thin on the ground. Assuming Gunther breaks Jey Uso's heart in April (which is possible given that the match has been bumped from main event status to the undercard), he'll need fresh challengers immediately. That could be where big Bill steps in.

Triple H could use Goldberg as a makeweight for Gunther whilst figuring out where to take the 'Ring General' next. Truthfully, WWE could also book Goldberg vs. Gunther anyway even if Uso does bag the World Title in Vegas. There's nothing stopping the writing team from going with that bout either way, title or not.

A bragging Gunther being interrupted by some familiar music as Goldberg bashes his head on things mid-entrance would get a reaction from the Raw crowd, so this is food for thought. This would be Bill's last chance to do business on his way out by putting a full-timer over before calling it a career.

Is Goldberg "a mark for himself" or not? Over to you, Bill.
