10 Superstars Who Have Wrestled In The Most WWE PPV Matches

6. Randy Orton

PPV Matches = 129 Tied on 129 appearances it€™s the WWE€™s Apex Predator, Randy Orton. At just 35 years old Orton is also the youngest Superstar on the list, giving him plenty of time to try to make it to the number 1 spot. The third-generation Superstar first debuted in the WWE back in 2002 and not long after his first appearance he soon joined the highly successful faction Evolution. As a member of this faction Orton was always going to be thrust into the limelight quite quickly and his first pay-per-view match actually saw him compete for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam in 2003 in an Elimination Chamber match which was eventually won by his Evolution mentor Triple H. Only a few months later at Armageddon, Orton defeated Rob Van Dam to win the Intercontinental Championship, his first title within the WWE in a night when Evolution would also come to hold the Tag-Team Championship (won by Ric Flair and Batista) and the World Heavyweight Championship (won by Triple H). At SummerSlam in 2004 Orton experienced what was arguably the biggest pay-per-view moment of his career, when at the age of just 24 he defeated Chris Benoit to become the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history. Orton€™s other pay-per-view highlights have included winning the Royal Rumble in 2009, and headlining two WrestleManias, although unfortunately both occasions saw him lose WWE Championship matches to Triple H (WrestleMania XXV) and Daniel Bryan and Batista (WrestleMania XXX).
